Description
The Flume Gorge covered bridge can be found in the Franconia Notch State Park which is located in between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges. The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. You can leave the visitor center and do a two-mile loop that allows you to see great vistas and the Flume Gorge covered bridge as seen in this view.

Didn't have the physical energy in me when I was there. Boy did I miss out. Glad you didn't. Great image, Jeff. - Mike (V/F)

I love covered bridges (which I don't generally see in Southern California!). This is so beautiful with all that gorgeous fall color surrounding it!!! f/l

I love the perspective here. I visited Flume Gorge in the fall a few years back but didn't get down off the trail. The rocks (both in the stream and in what appears to be retaining walls at the sides of the bridge) and rushing water add a level of interest that I like very much.
